Meditation By Music

i ask cause i usually only listen to rock and metal so im looking for some chill music ^_^ thanks

Hey kid, try listening to music with the same amount of talent like JAZZ and CLASSICAL…that’s my soft side although I’m don’t call if soft, I call it "profesional music that isn’t Metal but is good enough". That is because I actually play an insturment and need music with talent.

what’s some good music to listen to when your calm or just chillen

New age artists like 2002, Secret Garden, and Kevin Kern are some of my favorites.

I am starting volunteering at the MHS for healing with music, and I need more music suggestions for the violin. Some that I have picked out to play is The Swan, Ave Maria, and Love’s Greeting. Also, Mononoke Hime, from the movie Princess Mononoke, and Waltz of Chihiro from the movie, Spirited Away.

What research has shown that classical music can be calming or reduce stress? Is there any research to show that classical music can help one study?

im pretty sure over time im damaging my ears and sense of hearing. besides not listening to loud music and my ipod altogether, is there anything i can do to heal or improve my hearing?

rest your ears by sleeping it off. and for a week don’t listen to music. then don’t listen to music too loud in general.

similar to this and if there’s some valid reason-for quite a few years now I’ve been meditating, sometimes using the aids of gentle singing bowl music. The more I understand about it; the more I really enjoy it and it stillness of the mind is a REALLY welcome break from the hectic day to day stuff. Anyway, I recently got into chakra stuff and I find it such a help because I feel I have more energy when I need it; I sleep better and so on…………can’t fully explain it, you just have to do it yourself. Mostly I like to go through the seven main ones through a silent, meditation type thing on my own but now and again I’ve tried to find a guided one through CD, online or wherever. I just wondered if it was just me but every chakra meditation that I’ve heard usually starts or ends up, or worse, has this sort of scary movie type music going on in the background. Is there a particular reason for this? I’ve looked into the different key to chant in for each chakra, and read all about how it’s a vibration sound thing but I still find it so disconcerting, because it isn’t very nice music. Could anyone shed some light on this?-I can’t find a thing on the ‘net. Sorry for the long post and thankyou if you’ve read this far. Namaste!

NOTE: It is important to have a strong foundation, do not neglect the lower chakras! The lower chakras focus on details such as our home, familiy, and feelings, while the upper chakras develop synthesizing views and wisdom that help us understand the grander order of things. All of our chakras affect one another and ultimately work together.

Winter of 2008 turned out to be an intensely creative time for me. It was perhaps a disguised blessing that Australia’s East Coast experienced its coldest winter season in 60 years – indeed the perfect opportunity to stay indoors and focus on creating new music!

Music for The Quietening was composed during several “writing retreats” in some of the places that I find most beautiful, calm and inspiring close to where I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. I visited the ancient rainforests of The Bunya Mountains, The imposing Glasshouse Mountains and Blackall Range, and stayed in a rustic mud brick cottage with no electricity (but lots of candles and a great fireplace) on a hill in the the Noosa Hinterland.

When recording The Quietening, it was a pleasure to re-unite with the talented folk at Grevillea Studios, Brisbane and their amazingly beautiful 12ft Bosendorfer Grand Piano. As was the case with my previous CD releases, they have again produced a recording of first class quality. I also re-recorded several tracks the day after the original session, not because they were incorrect, but just to ensure that the tempo of each piece, while not exactly the same, gently flowed from one to the next.

I truly believe this to be the most inspired, focused and joyous I have ever felt while creating music. It is now my hope that you, the listener will be able to feel for yourself some of the absolute love, calm, gratitude and connectedness I experienced while making this album.

Its got to be the rare soul scene from the 1960s and beyond. All that is now labeled Northern soul. classic and still growing.

atheism is the disbelief in gods right? so atheist are free to believe in magic, ghost, souls, reincarnation, aliens in UFO’s, chakra, wars going on in space, the power of music, and any other paranormal and/or supernatural phenomena/belief… right?

just as long as a god or deity is not involved… right?

Well a atheist can believe in anything else other than a god.

A majority of atheists are also skeptics that do not believe in anything supernatural or believe in anything with out proof.
